The Great Lodge is a truly special place! The photos on the website do not do it justice - it's very rare that a property exceeds expectations, but this one did.

We drove up from Toronto and found it relatively stress-free; as you get closer to the destination, it's quite scenic. Arriving at the property, everyone was in awe! It's nicely secluded within the community and a good distance from any neighbours. The lodge itself is MASSIVE and the land is well-manicured; you feel as though you are stepping into another world, which is great when trying to unplug & escape reality for a bit.

As far as amenities go, The Great Lodge has everything and then some. We were able to sleep 22 guests comfortably, as well as store all of our food, alcohol, and alike. Between the kitchen and outdoor BBQ area, we prepared daily feasts without feeling crowded; there was also enough space & seating to eat together. The downstairs entertainment area provided the perfect setting for all of our social activities, including a walk-behind bar, pool & shuffleboard tables, fireplace, and cinema room where we watched the NHL playoffs. In the evening, we enjoyed yard games, the hot tub, and fire pit on the private beach; later, we wound down by the main fireplace in the Great Room. Locally, we played a few rounds of golf through the weekend as there are a number within driving distance.

End-to-end, the owners and support staff were lovely to interact with; some of the nicest people I've ever met! All questions were answered in a timely manner and always with a good amount of detail. When on-site, the Property Manager was an absolute star and helped us with all our needs.

We can't say enough about The Great Lodge - your best bet is to book it and experience it for yourself! You won't regret it. Highly recommend and will be returning again soon!

This property. House. Location. Waterside. Is simply astounding. The house is massive and could easily host 30 people, with cots and the like. The kitchen is huge, there are two bars - one of which challenges any downtown bar for scale and functionality. Two beautiful wood burning fireplaces, plus a gas one in the master. As tempting to list every wonderful attribute; the real value here is that you can bring your group together to a place which has numerous places to sit and connect; or sit alone and read. This place is far more than 'a cottage' - its a veritable resort. I and seven business associates used the location for a three day retreat, and it was absolutely perfect. Places to dine formally and casually, several living-type rooms to hang and relax. the size, scale and functionaly flexity make this place useful for a lot of different reasons. Well appointed and well cared-for - I heartily recommned this property.

We had an amazing time. What an incredible, one of a kind property. We loved everything about it. We hope to rent it again soon and would love to rent it for a group when things open up again. Thanks again for your patience with all the uncertainty with the provincial announcements.

Please thank the property manager again for us. He was super helpful and we loved all the thoughtful touches like lighting a fire for us on the beach and putting out cushions, kayaks and paddle boards which were enjoyed many times. We got very lucky with such warm sunny weather in April!

We were looking for an offsite location for our corporate team of 14 people and this place checked a lot of boxes for us. We wanted an intimate/communal setting to encourage team building pre/post meetings, and common spaces for entertainment, cooking etc. The main lodge, separate above garage accommodations, multiple patios, waterfront and grounds, are absolutely stunning and very functional. We stayed in September, weather was great, cool nights, lake temp as still swimmable. I don’t believe theirs air conditioning, but we didn’t need it. Good airflow if windows are open. Dan, the groundskeeper was very nice and accommodating! Yes…this place needs a groundskeeper! It’s huge. The pictures don’t do it justice. Patricia had fantastic communication, and although there are many ground rules….I can see why she is being so careful…as the she wants to preserve the beauty of this place. Treat is like you would your own home and there will be no issues. Hope to go back for future meetings!
